Benjamin Van Vliet
Benjamin Van Vliet is currently completing a Master of Music Degree in
Violin Performance under the guidance of Elizabeth Chang at the
University of Massachusetts Amherst. He has studied chamber music with
members of the Lark Quartet and in performed in master classes for the
Borromeo, Orion, and Miro Quartets. Ben has studied baroque violin
with Linda Quan and Robert Eisenstein, played for Andrew Manze, and
performed with the Folger Consort in Washington D.C. As a teacher, Ben
is co-founder of Red Oak Strings, an Amherst based organization
dedicated to teaching chamber music and small ensemble string playing.
