Hannah van der Swaagh

Hannah van der Swaagh is currently enrolled in the Masters of Music program with a concentration in Viola Performance at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she is studying with Kathryn Lockwood. Originally from New York City, Hannah received her Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, MI, where she studied with Dr. Melissa Knecht. While in Michigan, Hannah played part-time with the Adrian Symphony Orchestra, and was a three-time concerto competition winner with the Hillsdale College Symphony Orchestra. Throughout her years of chamber music experience, Hannah has participated in master classes led by such notable musicians as Paul Neubauer, Arnold Steinhart, Ani Kavafian, Timothy Eddy, and Laurence Dutton.
