Trombonist Greg Spiridopoulos is a member of the Empire Brass Quintet, principal trombone of the Albany Symphony Orchestra, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Glimmerglass Festival Orchestra, and a member of the Portland Symphony and Boston Philharmonic orchestras. Mr. Spiridopoulos has performed with the Boston Lyric Opera, Handel and Haydn Society, Boston Ballet Orchestra, Boston Landmarks Orchestra, Cantata Singers of Boston, Emmanuel Music, the West Virginia Symphony, Burning River Brass, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops and many others. Recent solo performances have included Christopher Rouse’s Trombone Concerto with the Albany Symphony Orchestra, and Henri Tomasi’s Trombone Concerto with the Pioneer Valley Symphony Orchestra.
Since 2010, Mr. Spiridopoulos has been Lecturer of Trombone at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He has performed recitals and presented master classes at numerous schools including Boston University, University of New Hampshire, University of North Texas, Baylor University, Texas Tech University, Texas Christian University and Oklahoma City University.
