Trombonist Greg Spiridopoulos is a member of the Empire Brass Quintet, Principal Trombone of the Albany Symphony Orchestra, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Glimmerglass Festival Orchestra, Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, and second trombone of the Portland Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Spiridopoulos has frequently performed with the Boston Lyric Opera, Handel and Haydn Society, Boston Ballet Orchestra, Hartford Symphony, Springfield Symphony and many others. Recent solo performances have included Christopher Rouse’s Trombone Concerto with the Albany Symphony Orchestra and Henri Tomasi’s Trombone Concerto with the Pioneer Valley Symphony Orchestra. He has also been a featured faculty soloist with the University of Massachusetts Wind Ensemble, Symphony Band and Symphony Orchestra.
Mr. Spiridopoulos received his Master of Music from Boston University and Bachelor of Music from Michigan State University. He joined the faculty of the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2010.
