FIVE COLLEGE NEW MUSIC FESTIVAL

The University of Massachusetts Amherst Department of Music and Dance is proud to host the first Five College New Music Festival, a celebration of the rich musical life of the Pioneer Valley both past and present. The Festival includes nearly fifty performers and composers, primarily current and former faculty members but also a few members of our student community as well as the community at large.
CONCERTS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 11

  • 8 PM - Five College Composers’ Concert

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 12

  • 2 PM - An Afternoon of Premieres
  • 7 PM - Panel Discussion
  • 8 PM - Heritage Concert

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 13

  • 2 PM - "The Hungarian Strain"
  • 3 PM - Hungarian Program
  • Post Concert Reception
